Course Overview:
This short course offers a comprehensive introduction to the principles of Mendelian Randomisation (MR) analysis. MR is a powerful methodology within genetic epidemiology, enabling causal inference from observational data. The course will cover core concepts, analytical methods, and the interpretation of MR findings.

Course Structure:
The course combines pre-recorded video lectures with live interactive Zoom sessions, primarily focused on theoretical aspects. Participants will also receive practical exercises to reinforce their learning through hands-on analysis.

Target Audience:
This course is intended for individuals with a basic understanding of epidemiological research and foundational knowledge of genetic epidemiology. Prior experience with R for statistical analysis is essential to fully benefit from the course content.

Description

Neonatal Update 2025 is an in-person meeting held at BMA House in central London. The lectures will be recorded but the meeting will not be streamed live. 

 For those unable to attend the meeting in person, recordings of the lectures can be purchased independently and will be available to view approximately two weeks after the meeting has taken place for 3 months.  (N.B. All in-person delegate registration fees include a full set of recorded lectures from all 4 days of the meeting, making it advantageous to reap the benefits of attending at least one day in person and still receive the full set of recorded lectures).

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations of purchased delegate places must be issued in writing to Georgina Holmes, neonatal.update@imperial.ac.uk  

3-6 months prior:  Cancellations received between 31 May and 31 August 2025 will receive a 75% refund 

1-3 months prior:  Cancellations received between 31 August and 31 October 2025 will receive a 50% refund

1 month prior:  Cancellations received after 01 November cannot be refunded
